We have 12 tailgates that fit the Ram 2500 in stock, all used factory take-offs, $270 to $1, 080 with a median around $540. Shipping is included in the listed price.
A tailgate is matched by generation and by equipment
The Ram heavy-duty generations that matter here are 2003-2009, 2010-2018 and 2019-2026. Beyond the generation, a tailgate has to match what your truck expects: a reverse camera aperture, a power-release latch and its loom, a spoiler or wing, and on later trucks a multifunction split gate. A plain gate will bolt to a camera truck and leave you with no camera.
What to look at before you buy
The bottom seam. Water sits there. It is the first place a gate rots and the hardest to see in a photograph, so ask.
Hinge and latch pockets. Cracks here are structural, not cosmetic.
Skin dents from the inside. Common on gates used as a step.
Handle and bezel. Confirm whether they are included; they are not always.
Within the same generation the outer skin is often shared, but the badging and sometimes the latch hardware differ. Tell us your year and we will confirm rather than guess.
Only if the listing says so. A gate with a camera aperture is not the same as a gate with a camera in it. Ask us and we will look at the actual unit.
Freight, strapped to a pallet, with the price included in the listing. See shipping and delivery for timing.
Yes, where the gate carries a legible code or we can read it from the truck it came off. Used panels are sold as-is on finish.
